Welcome back to our One Day at a Time series in which we count down to ATEEZ's fifth anniversary! As part of our special giveaway event, you can comment on each post for an additional entry into the giveaway being held on Instagram. If you want your comment to count as an entry, make sure to include your Instagram username in your comment.
We here at Auntiny & Co. look forward to ATEEZ teasers and performances for many reasons, not the least of which is seeing what new and interesting stylings they will grace us with. As I'm writing this, ATEEZ have just performed at MCountdown in France and if you saw those outfits, you know what I mean. (The other half of my brain is currently composing an ode to Mingi's coat, Hongjoong's skirt, and Jongho's choker-scarf.)
So today, as part of our Anniversary Celebration, we have tasked ourselves with choosing our favorite fashion pieces. The rule we gave ourselves, however, is that we had to choose from concept styling and not from stages. Otherwise, we would have been here all day.
hongjoong
GD: I love everything about this bathrobe. Some people insist it's not a bathrobe, but please. I love the way he swings the little tie around when he's dancing, and the way it brings that sort of dreamscape vibe to the song. It doesn't hurt that one of the first times I watched an ATEEZ video, Hongjoong was wearing this.
Bobby: I have never seen a single Atiny talk about this jacket, not once. And so it falls to me to extol its many virtues. This absolutely Dickensian creation sits in the cross section of cozy Christmas caroler and hot professor garb. I adore plaid--perhaps more than even I realized--and this jacket really does it for me on so many levels.
seonghwa
GD: It turns out that I love denim. The more denim the better, I say. And this jacket was actually already in a museum, and had it been at a museum in the states, I for sure would've found a way to visit it.
Bobby: I think about this jacket a lot actually. I love a good bomber (and ATEEZ has worn so many good, good bombers), and this one is so bright and cheerful that I simply don't think a person can have a bad day while wearing this jacket.
yunho
GD: No one, and I mean no one, loves Celebrate as much as I do, so I knew I had to pick at least one of the Celebrate stylings for my ATEEZ fashion museum dream set, and Yunho's is my favorite. The hot pink tie with the very bright blue shirt is just absolutely perfect, and it's balanced well with this incredible jacket. Plus his hair is just great, and I know that's not the point, but it's a little bit the point.
Bobby: For this exercise, I found it difficult to separate the clothing from the man who is wearing it. Do I love this look because of the sparkly skinny scarf(?) and the textured jacket? Or do I love it because of this hair-choreo moment? We may never know.
yeosang
GD: Every look from Paradigm was just the best, and we should all appreciate her more. Look at the sparkles. Look at the glamour. I love it.
Bobby: I worship at the shrine of the Yellow Coat. This coat rewired my brain. It paved the way for Yeosang to join my bias line. It is the pinnacle of what a coat can be. To see this Coat is to never forget The Coat. All other coats aspire to be This Coat.
san
GD: Apparently, I like fringe on my jackets. I didn't know this about myself until recently, but I just really, really do. Look at all that fun hanging fringe. And who doesn't love a vest over a jacket? It's so brown, which normally isn't for me, but I like the different layers of brown.
Bobby: I had such a hard time choosing a look for San. When I peruse San's styling, it seems to me that he doesn't often wear statement pieces that stand on their own. Rather, San himself makes the look. Give him a white t-shirt and jeans and he's good to go. Put him in all black, he's totally gorgeous. However, after lots and lots of searching and pondering, I finally came back to this Wonderland look. Truthfully, I'm using San's outfit to represent the full OT8 styling because who didn't look fantastic in these embellished military-inspired suits?
mingi
GD: More fringe! Look at it! Unpictured is the way he work his socks over his leather pants, which was both hilarious and stylish, which is all that can be asked from styling. This outfit paved the way for more cowbingi, so I am obviously endebted to it.
Bobby: Mingi was another one I had a hard time with. I finally settled on his Hala look because I would actually like to visit these in a museum and I think that Mingi suits the Hala suit best out of the 8.
wooyoung
GD: I want everyone to know how hard I tried to purchase this shirt. I searched for it, even found it, and was still unable to buy it. They only had an Instagram store, and the Instagram store never responded to me, and I am heartbroken to this day. But this shirt put Wooyoung into my bias line. That is the strength of my feelings for this shirt.
Bobby: It's another bomber. A good, good bomber. It's so great. Those who can't recognize its greatness are not among the Chosen.
jongho
GD: LOOK AT HIM. The zippers and the chains. And the way you can zip and unzip those shoulder bits. Let's all just look at Jongho some more.
Bobby: Seriously, what are my picks if not a celebration of Excellent Jackets (and Coats)? I had so many options for Jongho, so finally choosing this jacket was a struggle. But, just look at it. It's so pretty, so detailed. I want to examine it and see what secrets it will tell me.
I don't know if the next comeback coming at us, from right around the corner apparently, is Wonderland themed or not. But if is is, I can imagine it might upset our lists a bit. We shall see.
Do you have an Ateez article of clothing that you would pay good money to see? If so, let us know!
It’s always so fun to see others’ favorite concepts! I feel like it would be near impossible for me to make a formal list, but Deja vu era concept has a special place in my heart for sure. IG: destinyhwa
If I’m just choosing from concepts and not stages it has to be Mingi from the Halazia concept for me! The long white vest with the flowy pants and the floppy black hat and sheer gloves to top it off. I’m in love! And don’t even get me started on the magnificence of his hair! 🔥

As a goth, the Hala Hala fits are like, *chef’s kiss* perfection to me and it’s a mv that I revisit SO OFTEN just based on the strength of the imagery alone. I would love to see each of their fits from the mv/album in person because they’re all different but so cohesive. Just absolutely perfect styling IMO.

See this sort of thing is how I know am among my people. I vehemently agree and disagree with everything you have written here. And this is a glorious thing, isn’t it? Some of the items you have each picked are among my most favorite and hated looks for each member. But that is OK! Since we know they will keep serving us new looks constantly and we can all find something we like. In short ANY look is museum worthy and I would visit if given the chance.
As an aside I managed to get a few min to spend admiring the actual Movement costumes at the Hello82 popup last fall in Chicago. I too am a loyal followe…
