One Day at a Time: 5 ATEEZ Items We Always Carry

Since getting into ATEEZ, my life has changed in immeasurable ways, but the silliest of ways, and the way that often makes me the happiest, is the things I carry with me.

I am lucky enough to have a lifestyle where I rarely need to dress up, so most of my days are spent in some version of ATEEZ clothing. A good day is a day where I don't have to change out of my Wonderwall sweats.

Last March, some non-atiny friends and I were planning a trip to LA for one of our friend's book launch, and I remember being upset about something and telling them 'well I'm only packing Wonderwall and ATEEZ clothes; I don't care.' One of them looked at me with all the seriousness in the world and said, 'I don't remember the last time I saw you not wearing Wonderwall or ATEEZ clothes.' Which is a great point.

However, I do sometimes wear not ATEEZ things, which is fine, because I have other ways of carrying ATEEZ with me as detailed below.

1. ATEEZ bag (decorated with pins of course)

For a 6 year period prior to getting into ATEEZ, I carried the exact same bright green coach crossbody bag everywhere I went. It was dirty and sort of gross before it was retired, but the occasion didn't matter--it was the bag I carried.

But now? Now, I have an ATEEZ bag for every occasion. And you might think I'm exaggerating, but anyone who has committed themselves to buying every piece of ATEEZ merch that has ever been released as I have knows that I am absolutely not kidding. Multiple tote bags, the sling bag, the concert bag, Wooyoung's camera bag, at least two nicer wonderwall bags--I even currently have a tote bag on the way from Minirecord.

So no matter where I need to go, or what I need to do, I have an ATEEZ bag to carry with me (some more subtle than the others). And there is no better feeling than pinning an ATEEZ pin to an ATEEZ bag. Bonus points if you can hang a keychain off of it.

2. keychains

Speaking of keychains, ATEEZ and KQ have seen to it that my keys never need to be naked again by offering me a keychain every time they release merch. I used to make fun of this, but now, well, truthfully, my keys don't need 25 keychains, but it is sort of nice to have at least one ATEEZ keychain with me at all times.

I was going to list the keychains out, but I do actually have literally too many to count, and too many to take pictures of, so instead, I'll highlight my two personal favorites: the bat signals and the birthday merch dolly keychains for 2023. The birthday merch dollies are too nice for me to risk carrying, but the bat signal always comes with me (I have back-ups in case they get lost). I also have a random Hongjoong keychain from the atiny room release that is always on my keys. It's all scuffed up and terrible looking now, but it's fine. It's not like I don't have any others.

It's one of those things that is a subtle and personal reminder of my place in the fandom, and often my keys are hidden away in my purse (I mean ATEEZ bag), so it's the type of reminder that is just for me, which is great.

I am very proud of ATEEZ, and I am not ashamed at all to carry Jongho punching PC in a keychain that hangs off my bag. Jongho punching fights the evils of the world for me so that my life can be smooth and pleasant, and so he is with me in all places. And honestly, it may feel silly when it's happening, but it really is super fun to take pictures of all the places I've taken Jongho punching.

But I also carry a Wooyoung PC tucked inside my purse (in a toploader). Sometime during Fever 2, Wooyoung wrote on the back of PC 'please carry preciously in your purse.' I no longer remember what drop this was from, but who am I to argue with Wooyoung's instructions? I make sure to always carry this PC preciously in my purse.

I have also put PCs in my phone case, but since those can get pretty dirty, I now mostly put fake PCs in there.

4. jewelry

I wear a mix of official and unofficial jewelry every single day, which probably comes as no surprise since we sell jewelry on our etsy shop. Like with the bags, I have ATEEZ jewelry for all occasions.

I usually save Hongjoong's earrings MD for nicer occasions, and for my everyday earrings, I wear ATEEZ album paper that has been sealed and turned into earrings. Sometimes, I also just wear earrings that remind me of ATEEZ and consider them ATEEZ earrings (bear earrings, butterfly earrings, star earrings, etc.)

San's MD bracelet was too challenging for me to put on by myself, so it's never been worn by me, but there was a period where Bobby never took hers off. Instead, I wear any number of bead bracelets every day. My favorite combination is an Eternal Sunshine bracelet that combines beads made out of Hongjoong, Wooyoung, and Jongho pages and a matching Jongho bracelet that uses Jongho Outlaw pages. But I also regularly wear the Jongho bead bracelet I made from his bead bracelet MD.

Mingi's birthday MD necklace is also a regular staple in my jewelry collection, and it is often combined with an OT8 Movement necklace. My favorite part is that unless I specifically tell people it's ATEEZ jewelry, most people think it's just beautiful jewelry, which feels nice.

5. an ATEEZ centered playlist

This is less literal, but no less true. At the end of the day, no matter how happy Jongho punching PC makes me, I am hear because I love listening to ATEEZ's music.

Since discovering ATEEZ, I have not made a single playlist that didn't include more ATEEZ songs than songs from any other group except for the two times I made a xikers streaming playlist, which still featured many ATEEZ songs.

Prior to ATEEZ, I mostly listened to songs I remembered from high school--so think early 2000's emo, country, or pop--if I listened to music at all. It was much more likely that you'd find me listening to a podcast or an audio book, which is wild considering that I listen to music almost all hours of the day now.

And I of course don't only listen to ATEEZ because that would be crazy. I have a vast array of music I listen to. But all of my playlists are centered around ATEEZ, and I call them secret streaming playlists. And I have a playlist for every occasion because, thankfully, ATEEZ makes music for every occasion. Making them is something both Bobby and I enjoy, which is why we started sharing them on the blog every Monday.
